HITMAN'S JOURNAL
Beyond The Gun ...
The Streets of New York City act as the back drop for his gritty
true to life mob thriller, where trust and respect are taught but never counted on.
Vincent Dianni (DANNY AIELLO), spent most of his life working as a hit man for Don
Cucci.
Recently, somebody ratted on the Don and the Feds put him away for life. Vincent takes the
Dons arrest in stride, as he is ready to retire. He has hopes of spending the rest
of his life with his true loves, painting, cooking and entertaining Marilyn (POLLY DRAPER)
the only person that really makes him happy.
Don Joseph tells Tommy that he believes that Vincent is the man who
ratted on his father. Don Joseph orders Tommy to deal with Vincent and explains that if
Tommy chooses not to, he would be considered weak and lose status within the Family.
Soon after, Vincent finds Matty and Tommy on the dark street trading
verbal blows. Matty pulls his gun and shoots Tommy. Vincent responds immediately and
attacks Matty. With a few solid blows to the heat Vincent takes Matty out and then
proceeds to help the wounded Tommy to get to a doctor. By helping Tommy, Vincent knows
that he may have signed his own death warrant. The plot thickens as the twist and turns of
Vincents story unravels before our eyes.
